Boasting a shared lounge and free WiFi, 森の宿 ビヨルク is located in Myoko. Bjork was very comfortable, clean and stylish. It is nestled in the middle of the woods so some of the windows framed the natural beauty of the Myoko area. The couple who run the place are meticulous about every detail and you feel well taken care of from the first moment to the last. We ordered the breakfast both mornings and it was delicious and satisfying. It was nice to come back to the smell of a fireplace after a day on the hills. We will return there if we go back to Myoko in the future.

Since I arrived before check in, they kept my luggage for me. The single room was a good size, and it even had a sitting area with a table. Room had a humidifier, hangers, fabric freshener, shoe brush. Power outlets near the bed. Water kettle, cups, glasses, refrigerator also available. Bottled water, towels, slippers, pajamas were provided. Loved my stay at Hotel Global View Niigata!

Staff were great, room was larger than average in Japan, but the best part was the onsen Huge bathhouse opened overnight until 10am so you can access it in the evening, at the dead of night or after you wake up. All Toyoko Inn are similar, I guess. They are good for a short stay and that's it. This one in particular is located right next to the train station (a Shinkansen stop), so I guess it's a good alternative as a temporary stop when going to Kanazawa or Niigata, although I wouldn't recommend it. The TV has some interactive information, including some local information and videos (at least in Japanese). You can leave your bags in the reception after checking out if you need to.

The breakfast buffet was good with both Japanese and Western options. It was conveniently located close enough to Niigata station that we could walk there. It's also super close to several main restaurant and bar streets, so we were able to enjoy some fun nightlife too. We ended up renting a car to get to more remote locations around Niigata and the staff helped us pay for parking, and find parking when their lot was full for the night.

Comfortable business hotel in a lively neighbourhood (so many restaurants!) and super convenient if you're heading to the train station. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had a large variety of dishes, some excellent Niigata rice of course, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of it compared to the usual business hotel buffet. The room itself was compact but cosy, no complaints.

I loved the staff they were so kind even with the language barrier we did just fine communicating. The breakfast that was offered was simple but enough. The smoothies they serve are so delicious.
