1. no lift or wheelchair access available, which was a bit of a pain. 2. not really their fault but worth noting although walking it would have taken less than 5mins to get from this hotel to the event i was attending literally across the road ( i could see the event from the reception door) it took over 20mins drive each way due to one way streets and a high fence blocking access so worth being aware as google didn't mention that issue.

Other guests Large party of Chinese were very loud room doors open and lots of noise in the corridor. No regard for other guests then attacked the buffet breakfast as if they had not eaten for weeks. Felt sorry for the staff

The rooms are spacious and clean. The barman recommend a great curry house even though they were serving curry in the hotel restaurant that evening.

Accessible entrance into hotel not easy to locate - in fact I didn't find it - nowhere near the disabled parking bays. Not sure why parking charges need to be additional to the room cost. Would have preferred it to be included.

Great location for visiting NEC. Friendly staff, clean hotel. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed with big soft pillows.

The bathroom could have been better-big crack in the sink and the shower needs attention as temp and water flow were temperamental. Mentioned this to staff who were very apologetic. It would have been nice to have some local information in the room such as a bus timetable or places of interest.

Great location and just a 10 mins walk into the local village. Big carpark;had to pay to park but the cost of accommodation was very good value so didn’t mind this. Other hotels will hide this in the cost. Good sized room with a very comfortable bed. Lovely towels and spotless bathroom. Good tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board plus hairdryer. Evacuation procedure on the back of the door in 4 languages. Lovely staff.

The venetian blind in the bedroom was stuck/broken, could not be operated. There's no lift in the hotel. There's an overnight charge for parking in front of the hotel.

The first night I couldn't sleep for several hours as there was a continuous booming sound as though there were a boiler room next door, but the subsequent night it had stopped. So perhaps avoid room 70. My friend a few doors away wasn't disturbed at all. We had fish and chips in the evening which was OK but the room with a bar was pretty bare with a TV on loudly in the corner.

We had rooms in a newly decorated wing of the hotel, so they were perfect. Breakfast was unbelievable for £9.95: a full English breakfast cooked to order by clearly an experienced chef. My friend said she'd never had such a good omelette in her life!

Getting hot water to shower / bath took a long time. Toilet felt a bit unsteady to sit on (room 80) There was a small leak between the bath and toilet. We forgot to mention at checkout. Visitors having to pay 5 pound night for parking. However, it was well kept, secure and lots of space.

Friendly and easy check in, nice spacious room, clean. Comfy beds. Lots of spaces to sit inside and out. Towels provided. Room was hoovered and beds remade during our two day stay. Iron in room. Bar and breakfast available. The water fountain to top up drink bottles. Looks to be getting modernised with lovely furniture and deco. The hotel was close to pubs, restaurants, shops, play centres, park... just what we needed (short drive away). All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Big car park. We would definitely use again.

Could do with light blackout curtains and an extra pillow. Not very inviting on the outside. Needs some landscaping.

We came back from town after the first day, only to find out we have been locked out of our room. I went to the reception to enquire and was told they thought we were staying for one night. My question is, we left for town after 1 pm that day. Surely the staff saw us leaving without our luggage. Surely, if we had checked out, they would know.

£5 charge to park car overnight.. The exrerior appearance of hotel and car park are not very welcoming. I arrived after dark and couldn't easily identify which set of steps led to the reception.

I was apprehensive from the previous reviews and was not expecting much. I was however, very pleasantly surprised. My room was spotless. It was newly decorated and had a new carpet. All the staff were lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Bar only had bottled drinks, no draft beer. Menu was fairly limited in the evenings. Fact that I had to pay for car parking was the biggest issue for me.
