Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe place is amazing. Angi and Suef are the kindest and warmest hosts. Suef showed us around the rice fields, waterfalls, money Forrest and showed us all the different spicies in Tetebatu. The room is clean and a nice view of the green garden. The breakfast was tasty and also the dinner we ordered from Angie was delicious! Thanks for having us and we would recommend this place without a doubt!

NetherlandsThis was definitely our favourite place during our entire 2 month travel through Indonesia. The owners of the homestay are great. Really welcoming and made us experience life in the village. The owner will take you on a walking tour showing the rice fields, a beautiful waterfall, all the local products made in the village and the monkey forest. We also ate here every night. Angi is a great cook and can also make some great local dishes.

MalaysiaThese guys are the most awesome hosts you can get at Tetebatu. Suep is the main man that runs Tetebatu Sunrise Homestay (look it up at booking.com the next time you going to Lombok) - very knowledgeable about his hometown and theie local culture, his wife Anggi makes the best home cooked food like if you want sate ayam, she gonna make it from scratch when you order. Not just open the fridge and take the frozen one. Yes the whole thing. From freshly making the Sate Ayam all the way to the kuah kacang. Brother Sam is the hype man who brings the fun. He doesn't even work there but he was just happy to join us. Great sense of humour. The rooms are pretty basic but it does have hot shower. So if you're a fussy, Karen kinda tourist maybe it's not for you. But if you are a traveler who wants to experience the authentic life in Tetebatu and feel how it's like to be welcomed by family members in Tetebatu you never knew you had, this is it.

NetherlandsThe place was a bit further down the road which made it harder to get there by car. Our driver didn't want to drive us the last 500m because it was too narrow. But the owner picked me up without a problem. So actually its not really a problem. And its nice to have a short walk and see the beautifull ricefields.
The owners were really nice and helpen with everything I needed. They even had a hot shower, did not expect that. The room is cozy and has a fan. Its not to hot to sleep at night. And also nice food. I did a tour with Suef and it was amazing, saw lots of waterfalls, beautifull ricefields and monkeys!

Beautiful place with very accommodating hosts! We had a very relaxing time here and it was nice to be away from the centre and in this peaceful place. We were taking on great tours of the area and learnt so much about the rice harvest and crops growing as well as seeing monkeys! Delicious food too!

UkraineThe road the property was rocky, and WiFi wasn't available. Yet, this is not what you expect when going to Tetebatu.
My stay was great. Mountain and rice field views are incredible. Suef, his wife, and their charming two-year-old daughter welcomed me warmly. Sate Ayam for dinner was incredibly tasty with a generous portion.

CanadaHow sad I was to leave. We got a little lost on arriving as we took a wrong turn, but Suef came and searched for us and once we knew the right way to go we had no problems finding the property again.
Soft fluffy towels was such a nice treat after a lot of travels. There was Hot water in the shower which also made it feel more like home. Suef took us on a nature walk and to the bamboo handicraft and they were definitely highlights of our trip ! Angi cooks THE BEST food ever. We ate pretty much every meal there over 4 days and it was so appreciated. Plus having the sweetest little baby, Arumi, to provide laughter and entertainment was a treat.

I think everything has already been said, but this is the best homestay you’ll find in all your trip around Lombok. The reason it is so special is because of Suef, Angi and the kid Arumi. They are beautiful people, love a chat and really care about you and your confort. Room is basic, but it has all the necessary: hot water, good water pressure, clean room and toilet, clean bed sheets and a confortable bed. On top of all that it is a prime location, within the rice fields, it feels like living the real local life of Indonesia. Make yourself a favour and book this accommodation because it will change your whole vision of Lombok. Indonesia meeds more people like this family and more tourist that care about local life and this is the perfect combination.

FranceThis is a very good place owned by a very welcoming family. We had such an amazing experience here. Anggi is a very good cook, the lunches and dinners were so tasteful. We could visit Tetebatu, the rices terraces and waterfalls with Su'Ef who explained us a lot of things about their culture. If you are looking for authenticity, this is the right place.

NetherlandsSu'ep, Anggie and their lovely daughter Rumi made our stay in Tetebatu amazing! With the Su'ep's tour, we visited a local farmer, a beautiful waterfall, monkeyforest and he guided us through the ricefields. Later, we cooked dinner together with Anggie and two other guests. Everything fresh from their own garden and it tasted amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome!

LuxembourgNothing, everything was perfect!
The absolute highlight of our Indonesia trip! We spent two beautiful and unforgettable days with Suef, Anggi, their little daughter Arumi, and the entire family. From the moment we arrived, the family made us feel at home and went above and beyond to ensure we lacked nothing. The room has everything you need, and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. In the evenings, we cooked Indonesian food together with Anggi, laughed, and enjoyed delicious meals as a family. It was the best food we had throughout our journey! Living amidst nature, surrounded by rice fields and palm trees, was an incredible experience. Suef took great care in showing us the surroundings and the culture. During our 4-hour hike through the village, rice fields, and the Monkey Forest, we received many explanations and enjoyed a beautiful, idyllic landscape. We also visited a waterfall and were the only ones there with a few locals. Suef took the time to fulfill every wish we had. He even took a little detour as we asked for a fresh coconut, which was then freshly picked from the palm tree by his cousin. An exceptionally heartwarming family, dedicated to realizing their homestay dream, that enriched our journey! (PS: Don't forget the Sambal)

NetherlandsWe had an amazing stay with Suaeb and Anggi! The homestay is situated in the middle of beautiful rice fields and they have a garden that grows great fruit and vegetables and Anggi made a delicious meal out of it. We took a tour through the rice fields where we saw black and grey monkeys, we visited a waterfall and a place to try local products. Your hosts are super knowledgeable about the area and we learnt a lot! They even have hot water in the shower now. Make sure to wake at sunrise for a fantastic view of the Rinjani!

GermanySuper cute and small comfortable homestay. Everything you need is given. The family was welcoming and included us in their daily life. We played with little Arumi and learnt new Indonesian words :) Anki is a former cook and treated us with amazing local food. Suaeb was showing us around Tetebatu. We planted rise, walked around the ricefields and learned a lot about local fruits and vegetables and took a bath in two waterfalls. On top we saw some black monkeys in the forest. We were also shown the typical sarung factory and the bamboo handcraft factory. It’s been a perfect all round package in a non-touristic area.
