“The lobby smelled lovely and the amenities station was very handy. Location was very good, less than 10mins walk to Kyoto Station and held our bags for us before and after checkout. Very large room too.”
“It did the job. We wanted to experience staying in something more traditional and I liked how authentic it felt. There was a restaurant near/attached to the building but we never ended up going to it”
“Great location and lovely staff. Rooms were a decent size. The Onsen was a cool bonus!”
“The properly had a washing machine which helped us mid-journey to clean the clothes for free. There is also a dryer in the bathroom but it used, it takes a lot of time and can't dry a lot in the same time so you need batches. We've washed with the washed machine and nearby we used a coin laundry where we drier our clothes since we had a lot.”
“The location of Kyoto Takasegawa Bettei, was really good close to the river, a little bit away for the centre, but still within walking distance. There were a great selection of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops close by. The room size was good, with a great layout. The staff were absolutely wonderful, and very helpful on recommendations of where to eat. We had the Japanese breakfast which was different, but definitely worth a try.”
“Great location, great staff and great room. One of my greatest stay in Japan so far”
“Nice boutique hotel, with some attention on eco-friendliness. Simple, minimalistic.”
“everything, beautiful and clean has a rock garden, needs more laundry machines though.”
“Excellent breakfast, coffee/tea/juice bar, location excellent for Shinkansen travel, friendly concierge staff, though quite rigid with checkin times.”
