This was our first time staying at Sonesta and it surprised us. Breakfast was great, sometimes the area was full but it was the Holy Week so the hotel was full, anyway the attention was great and it improve the experience. The rooms are very comfortable, we got two rooms one double and one queen, beds were so comfortable we could really rest and enjoy these days off. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant, I was very curious and once I heard it wasn't great but in fact it was delicious. If you stay here enjoy the facilities.

The staff is super friendly and granted us every request we asked of them. The location is very central and you can reach a lot of shops and places to eat nearby. If you want to go a little bit further, there are taxi's passing by in front of the hotel that you can take to take you pretty anywhere you want to go.

Although San Gil / Santander is not on the list of most travellers I met in my way, i find it a pity as this place is more authentic, there is quite lot of things to do and the people are very chilled and easy going compared to for eg Santa Marta. I really wish I had a few more days here.

I liked this place so much that I came back for another night after spending a few days more in the north of Santander. On the long drive from Santander to Medellín, I needed a place to spend the night as it was getting late and I was very tired. The Booking.com app turned up this gem of a hotel in Barrancabermeja, where I enjoyed a very pleasant night. It's perfect for a night's stay—it is clean, has strong wifi, is located in in close proximity to restaurants, and has adjacent secure parking. Perfect for breaking up a long journey! Bonus: the unique Cristo Petrolero statue is located only 5 mins away on foot.

Nothing, we just needed to stay there because of the night time of arrival, otherwise I'd rather book somewhere else. They even called the room at midnight because they needed the main guest's name when I checked in at the reception at 7 pm. So unpleasant. Staff is drinking beers at the reception. Nothing professional.
