Set in the medieval Monastery of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, this charming boutique hotel features a restaurant serving traditional dishes from the Castelo Branco district. Beautiful view from the suite terrace. My daughters room and mother in laws room was also very comfortable, with a lovely terrace. The restaurant was expensive but very good quality, and we enjoyed every mouthful. You need to get the car to visit the village of Belmonte. There was a wonderful peaceful atmosphere and we would love to return. . The mushroom theme was very cute and the different salons were delightful.

Staff and service was Exceptional, did the wine experience and had a time. We just got a new puppy as well and when we got to the room there was a bed for her and treats. Definitely recommended this hotel.

Casa das Muralhas features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Covilhã. Wonderful small hotel in a renovated old house. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and it was the best dinner we had at a restaurant in three week's Portugal (other hotels also had great restaurants but this one was also very affordable for the quality we got). The breakfast was rather intimate and this small hotel cannot offer big buffets like a bigger hotel but it was still among the best breakfasts we had in three weeks in Portugal because it had enough variety and top quality. The terarace and pool have great views. We had a big room which was perfect for us as a family of four.

We had a long stay with a 5 month old baby and it was amazing. Babies and children can use both swimming pools if using swim pants/diepers. All staff (reception, dinning room) is super friendly and helped out every way they could. The hotel manager greeted most guests daily and made sure everything was ok. The hotel and gardens are beautiful and well kept and the rooms very comfortable. Amazing view. Very good breakfast.
