Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel in general is lovely and the staff are polite and attentive. The gardens, outdoor swimming pool and breakfast are excellent. The small room size and low ceiling was the only negative.
The hotel is lovely with personable attentive staff. The outdoor swimming pool is of a reasonable size and is located within beautiful relaxing gardens which are well maintained. The breakfast buffet is amongst the best I have experienced. I travelled for work and was given a room on the top floor of the hotel. My only criticism was the small size of the room and the sloping ceiling which caused me to bang my head several times.

United KingdomOnly small niggles, no big issues. Shower head kept dropping and wouldn't stay put, hence caused wet floors. Sofa cushions in the garden need a wash/freshen up, were a bit stained. Location would be brilliant if you were driving, very central stay. But the bus stop nearby wasn't reliable, so it was about a 10min walk to the best pick up spot and there wasn't much else nearby within walking distance. But these really were minor issues and we actually loved our stay and would definitely recommend Le Friquet to anyone staying in Guernsey. Would love to return one day.
The staff were fabulous, so friendly, helpful and professional at all times. They all work so hard and work very long hours yet are always smiling and keen to make your stay enjoyable. The room was lovely, comfy bed, and bathroom looked new and spotlessly clean. The gardens were beautiful, well looked after and were so relaxing. Pool area was lovely to enjoy in the sun. Breakfast choices were great and the restaurant was lovely.

United KingdomA very minor remark, from our room in the evening we could hear a bit the music playing in the restaurant restrooms below. It didn’t bother us too much but maybe the volume can be kept a bit lower. Maybe I would upgrade the breakfast coffee with a barista style one
Politeness of staff and comfort and attention to detail of the property. Excellent and generous dinner. Beautifully kept garden and heated pool.

United KingdomPlease note, these were Tiny tiny things, and definitely NOT enough to stop me using this hotel again. The pool disappointingly has no toilet block, it would benefit from one massively. There was no bath in our room, I expected one, I would need to ask for one next time (learning point for me !!) Breakfast is a buffet. I personally don't like this all the time, however the hotel were massively helpful and accommodating with this (therefore not even a bad point) and helped with a special order. There was nothing I would dislike really about this hotel, and would encourage and recommend it to anyone. Re booking.coms room levels, please be careful, when looking at the home website and comparing them to booking.com, booking have an extra intermediate level that doesn't exist. I would advise you check against the hotels site. We booked an intermediate level of "double room with King size bed" please note there is no distinction between that and just a plain double as far as the hotel are concerned 😔. That's disappointing. Booking.com you need to have a bit of a review of what you are selling.
Staff were excellent, cheerful and really couldn't do enough to help, they definitely "made the trip" and contributed to the hotel standing head and shoulders above anything we had previously encountered on the islands. We would definitely stay there again. Location was good, food was excellent, and swimming pool was so clean, warm and peaceful, it was the most relaxing thing. Everyone was so helpful, with things like sewing kits, jump starts for the car, drinks at night, special orders for breakfast, housekeeping were spotless, every part was absolutely fantastic. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Ferry tip: contact the hotel to see if their travel agent can do you a better deal on condor. They saved us over £100. Well worth it. And don't worry if you have any ferry changes while you are there, they ring you immediately, ask you what you require, and change it for you, rather than you having to fight on the phone with every body and his dog. Much much more pleasant experience. To be honest they were excellent. Would have happily stayed another week or more. Will definitely go back.

We stayed in number 32 and had the conservatory with garden view. It is a great place to chill after exploring the island. The breakfast was delicious with a good choice, staff friendly and informative. The bed was big and really comfortable. Room really clean. The hotel was on the bus route, which was easy to find and is near a lovely garden Centre, just a few minutes walk away.

United KingdomBreakfast could have had a little more variety and a cafetière of coffee would be a welcome addition however this is a tiny criticism. We didn't have an evening meal so unable to comment on that
It was very clean and decorated to a high( although slightly dated) standard. The swimming pool was a welcome addition. Bed was very comfortable and air con worked well. All staff were lovely and friendly

United KingdomA more personal approach to breakfast service.
We have stayed at this hotel many times and been thrilled with every aspect. Unfortunately our room on the first night was near the entrance, so we had noise from guests arriving and leaving as well as bass from the music in the restaurant below. However, I cannot fault the service received from the receptionist, who not only arranged for the bass to be turned down on the music, but we were moved to a room the following day which was far better. Breakfast used to be ordered at the table and brought to you. It is now buffet style, which has taken away its unique quality.

United KingdomAs eluded in comments above, the ability of the kitchen to delover food to table in a reasonable time, even when a party is being hled in the restaurant; pity there is not a function room. A slightly bigger choice at breakfast time would have been received well.
The Superior Room was located on the top floor with windows facing the car park from two-sides. The bed was king-size, ideal as the temperatures during our stay were 20C+. There is no lift to access the room floor, so you need to be physically able to climb two levels of stairs, so beware! Breakfast was satisfactory, delivered buffet style which is okay if you are there around 8am. We dined in the Lobster and Grill on 2 nights, the last being a sAturday where the service was woefully slow - over 45 minutes to receive starter! So on the other nights we dined in various restaurants in St Peter Port, and all were good.
