  • “At least they have a 24 hr kitchen/common area, you are not allowed to use the kitchen at night but can make tea/coffee.”

  • Amsterdam Hostel Review score: 7.5

“This is not my first stay, it is a basic but clean and comfortable functional hostel with not too many frills. You will do well if you do not have unreasonable expectations.”

  • “Very accommodating for early check in and late check out. Steps away from pier 39 and big bus tours as well as restaurants on the waterfront.”

  • Kensington Park Hotel Review score: 8.3

“Staff were lovely and helpful (David, Amy, gentleman from Honk Kong, pregnant lady to name a few!). Just felt at home there and did return for one last night. Impressive building too. Thank you so much for your hospitality:)”

  • “Good location and friendly staff”

    “Great staff and the cleanliness”

  • “The room we were in over looked a busy noisy road . We could hear the people next door either way very loudly. Has to ask for towels , one dressing gown for two people ? Paper cups for a coffee in room . Blood in the sheet . Hair in the shower . Swimming pool Closed which was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. This was not made clear until we asked at the hotel why we couldn’t get in !!”

  • Coventry Motor Inn Review score: 8.1

“Definitely recommend. Absolutely loved the safe underground parking, which you can only access if you have a room key. Hotel room was nice, clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the little coffee machine too. Location was perfect - within easy walking distance of Lombard Street's viewpoint, and so many shops and restaurants on Chestnut Street. We also walked (a little further) to Fisherman's Wharf to get to Alcatraz, and also via Presidio Park to Crissy Beach where you can see the Golden Gate Bridge. All in all, the hotel is a great place to base yourself when exploring SF.”

  • Hotel Caza Fisherman's Wharf Review score: 8.4

“The location is perfect for Fisherman’s Wharf. Lots of shops and restaurants within a short walk. Hotel is modern, clean and feels “premium”. Room was very comfortable and the “partial bay view” gave us an epic, and full, view of Alcatraz and San Francisco Bay. Bed was extra comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We asked for a fridge in our room and one was delivered very promptly. Parking was very convenient - underground car park at the hotel. We got an inclusive rate but parking is normally $70+ per day!! Overall an excellent 5 day stay. Fully recommend this hotel.”

  • Kensington Park Hotel Review score: 8.3

“Location - much better than I expected. I was worried it was a little too close to the area I had been told to avoid, but in fact was very nice (next to union square) and was very convenient to travel around the city. Room - Large room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Hotel - lovely building with great interiors. Very atmospheric/ historic”
