Beautiful hotel, clean rooms, room service every day and everything tidy and clean, water in the room replenished daily. Perfect location of the hotel for other activities, quiet surroundings. Staff always willing and pleasant, especially at breakfast with a personal approach from Nadeesha, Chrysl, Marco, thank you very much... breakfast with fresh fruit and all you can eat😊 Everything smelled nice and we could enjoy our stay Free shuttle to La Mer Beach every morning with 5 min far a way

Shuttle to Dubaj Mall only one per day and morning, more less the same time as to the La Mer Beach, should be twice a day and second one late afternoon

Free parking and the Hotel location- Bur Dubai and the particular Block where City Max is located is the most accessible location to go around & towards, Deira (ride the ABRA through Dubai Canal or Cross the infinity Bridge by car), Traditional Souq, Old Dubai-Al Seef, Burjuman Mall. On the same block, several cheap Hypermarkets are nearby for personal and grocery needs at walking distance.

Access going down towards B2 parking is really tight! A challenge for Big SUV and long Vehicles.

The shower was a bad design, it leaked all over the bathroom floor. The hammock was totally non functional and would have been better to have a couple of comfortable chairs or a small sofa. Being asked for credit to be put on account by level 7 bar was unnecessary and embarrassing, never in all our world travels have we been asked to do this when staying at a hotel, normally it is added to account and paid on check out. Furthermore at checkout we were asked to pay again when actually we had credit. The boxed breakfast provided for our early departure was extremely poor considering the standard of breakfast provided the day before. It looked like it had been thrown together when we had ordered the night before so there was plenty of time for it to have been prepared. It consisted of 2 unripe bananas that were uneatable, 2 hard apples and a very hard plum all of which we could not eat, there was a box of pastries that looked like they had been grabbed from yesterdays leftovers: a couple of croissants, a muffin and a couple of chocolate croissants plus a small yoghurt. Not at all good value for the price paid for breakfast.

The property does permit guest visitation, however, there seems to be a significant lack of communication between the property host and the security personnel at the entrance gate. This issue was particularly noticeable when we had guests arriving from Al Ain, who were initially denied entry. It took approximately two hours to resolve this misunderstanding and allow them access. Another problem we encountered was a damaged door, which we discovered immediately upon our arrival. I documented the issue with a photograph and promptly communicated it to the host. Regrettably, the host held me responsible for the damage and my deposit was consequently withheld. In response, I requested evidence demonstrating that the door was undamaged prior to our arrival, which they failed to produce. This incident not only marred our trip, but also resulted in a tedious five-day negotiation to retrieve my deposit, causing considerable frustration. It is due to this experience that I am reluctant to return to this property.
