Positive section of review
Definitely not your usual accomodation. It is a full blown experience. A 5-storey castle where every single corner of the house, every centimetre of space, of wall, of floors, is filled with history and magic. You can cook in the perfectly well equipped kitchen, but you can also spend time admiring the original copper pots and pans (each of them a work of art in itself) or the 3-meter high massive wooden cupboard. Or you can choose to spend time in the "living room" (it is about 100 sq meters!) to play snooker or simply browse through the old photo albums to discover more about the castle's recent history. If the weather is nice, you can spend time strolling in the huge and beautiful French garden. Prince Nicolas, the landlord, is just as quirky as his castle. Don't expect a traditional innkeeper, just a gentleman, unapologetically himself, welcoming you to his home.

I have to say the bed was not the most comfortable ever, but it did the job. Also, the empty castle at night can be a little spooky, especially if you didn't grow up in one :)

Central Location, superb facilities for a B&B/Hotel. Great breakfast included with everything you need. Traveled with my family (2 children) and stayed in their 2 bedroom apartment. The location was great with walking distance to everything. As most French restaurants open at 1900 while our children gets hungry at 1700 it was great to have our own kitchen.

Beautiful place, very good location for exploring the city, nearby metro station, Notre Dame is a 10 minute walk. Around the corner there is a lively square with loads of restaurants and bars.

Staff member wasn't really ready for his task. Forgot to tell about parking fee, charged the wrong amount for toerists under 18 and charged the breakfast to the wrong room. His colleague fixed this for us so it wasnt a big deal.

It had everything you needed, was close to Metro, Sacré-Cœur, Moulin Rouge and other great locations. Staff were friendly, room was very clean and was serviced everyday.

The "Hotel" is very basic so there is nothing they are promissing what is not fullfilled. Parking in front of the hotel, closed gates at night.

There is no soap in the toilet and not in the room. So bring your own and hurry to the room .-) Hotel is closing at 21.00, so better be on time.

Nice bright apartment. Beds are comfortable and great having 2 lounges. The position of the apartment is close to most sites and train station.

Everything. It was so hard to get to if you don't have your own car. It was dirty and we saw mice inside when checking in, so we did not have breakfast there the next morning even though it was included. The room is tiny with one small window, and the bed is so uncomfortable. Not only is the mattress like a brick, the pillows are basically just the pillowcases. The bathrooms being shared didn't alarm us too much when checking in, but they are like train/airplane toilets and also dirty. Probably the worst part of our stay is the fact that it did not feel safe. There is no key to the door, only a code which was given to us handwritten on a piece of paper and you have to put the code in to get into the room. There is no proper lock from the inside. Needless to say, we will never stay here again and neither should you.

The staff were disinterested, unresponsive and unwilling to help. There were false fire alarms very late at night the two nights we were there (one at 6am one morning and at 12:30am the other) and the person at reception did nothing to help. On one occasion the person in reception had a friend with them and they were completely oblivious to the fact they were at work. Furthermore, the air conditioning was not working and despite us asking several times for assistance, the staff did nothing. We had to sleep with our windows open (with loud lories and drunks walking past at all hours!) Terrible facilities and poor staff.
